HEy, i'm joanne.
I didn't always have this business -- the clients, the gigs, the sales... In fact, just a few years ago, you would have found me sitting at my teacher desk grading the night away.
At the age of 26, I took a leap of faith, enrolled myself in a second graduate degree program --this time, in something I've always wanted to do: design. I ended up landing in my dream school. That single investment opened up doors and led me to this very successful business endeavor today.
This is where our paths cross.
I’m a Harvard graduate, software engineering babe, digital design enthusiast, and an AP educator with big dreams. Obsessed with tacos, the beach, and poke bowls, I've been keepin' it real since 1992. Over the past 7 years as an artist and educator, I have pursued many creative paths. Computer science teacher, design technology educator, front-end web developer, creative director. All of these endeavors have led me to where I am today: owner and lead designer of Haven Creative Co.
My purpose is to help creatives and small businesses clearly communicate their passions.
I am here and ready to help you become the entrepreneur you've always dreamed of. I am all about crafting beautiful and strategic brands that will not only get noticed by your dream clients, but will leave them wanting more. I am about professional, confident branding that allows you to connect deeply with those you are serving. And I am all about creating unique, memorable experiences for your clients that align specifically to your business' needs.

We'll start with a brand strategy, gathering important information about your ideal client and direction. Then, we'll explore various directions and branding concepts together, refining everything until we come up with an ideal solution. And finally, you'll receive all approved designs for both print & web, ensuring that you have everything you need to go out on your own with your new look.
